Reunion Island sits 45 minutes by air from Mauritius, and it is unlike anywhere else in the Indian Ocean: an active volcano, three UNESCO-listed mountain cirques, a lagoon on the west coast, and a Creole culture that turns a corporate event into a story people keep telling. For a company or a MICE agency based in Mauritius, South Africa or India, it is the rare destination that feels far away while staying remarkably simple to work with. This page explains why, and what we do here.
Why Reunion Island reassures your finance team
A French overseas department
Reunion is France in the Indian Ocean: EU territory, euro currency, French law and French invoicing. Political stability, European health and safety standards, reliable infrastructure. The exotic setting without the country risk.
Scenery Mauritius does not have
Piton de la Fournaise, one of the world's most active volcanoes. The cirques of Mafate, Cilaos and Salazie. Waterfalls, black sand, lagoon. Your programme changes landscape every day without changing hotels.
Easy from the region
Direct flights of about 45 minutes from Mauritius with Air Austral and Air Mauritius, several rotations a day, plus long-haul links to Roland Garros airport (RUN). Same time zone as Mauritius, minimal jet lag from India and South Africa.
Transparent pricing
We are the only event agency on the island that publishes its real prices online. You can benchmark us before you even call, and every quote is itemised line by line.
Who we are, in numbers
Pull Up Événements is a full-service event agency based in Le Tampon, in the south of Reunion Island: brand created in 2017, incorporated in 2022, founded and still run by Romain Capdepont. We have delivered more than 500 events on the island and hold a 4.9/5 rating on Google, based on 111 public reviews. Our references include groups that come back year after year: a 130-person corporate seminar at the LUX* Saint-Gilles resort for Crédit Moderne, plus CILAM, Canal+ and Caillé Groupe.
Unlike brokers who subcontract every line, we run our own entertainment teams, our own sound and light equipment, and our own coordinators. When your group lands, the people welcoming them work for us.
What we handle on the ground
- Venues: lagoon-side resorts, Creole estates, equipped conference rooms, exceptional private venues. We work with these places all year and know their real availability.
- Logistics: airport transfers, shuttles between sites, rooming lists, catering with local caterers, schedule management.
- Entertainment and team building: our historic core business, delivered in-house. Beach olympics, survivor-style challenges, treasure hunts, Creole evenings, DJs and MCs. Details and real prices on our team building page.
- Technical production: sound, microphones, screens, branded lighting, video capture.
- Coordination: one contact from brief to debrief, on site on the day, from the first transfer to the last departure.
Budget: honest numbers first
Our published French-language budget page gives the framework, and it applies to international groups too: on-site residential seminar costs run from about €280 to €380 per person per day (conference room, full catering, accommodation, activities), and our agency fee for programme design, entertainment and coordination runs from €1,050 excl. VAT for a short session to about €12,000 excl. VAT for a large full-day turnkey event. Team building alone runs from €760 to €4,240 excl. VAT depending on group size.
When to come, and for how long
The best season runs from May to November: the southern winter brings dry weather, around 25°C on the coast, no cyclones, open hiking trails, and humpback whales visible from the west coast between June and October. Three to four days on the island is the format that works: real work sessions in the morning, discovery and team building in the afternoon, a Creole evening to close. Many groups extend the trip into a two-island programme: our Reunion + Mauritius combo page covers that format.
You are an event agency or a corporate travel planner rather than the end client? We also work as a local DMC, in support of the agency that owns the client relationship: see our DMC services page.
